Hitachi Software Announces the Release of ShareWizard Software Suite 3.1
South San Francisco, CA - Hitachi Software's StarBoard Products Group has announced the release of ShareWizard Software Suite 3.1, with new and upgraded interactive presentation and conferencing features.
The new software, bundled with the StarBoard Interactive Whiteboard and EM Panel, contains three new programs; ShareWizard Show, ShareWizard Show Conference and ShareWizard Pen Conference. The complete ShareWizard Software Suite 3.1 includes the following programs:
ShareWizard Pen
Designed for Simplicity and ease-of-use, ShareWizard Pen features tools for controlling and annotating any computer presentation. The toolbar floats on top of any screen image. ShareWizard Pen tools include and electronic pen, highlighter and eraser with multiple drawing colors and line thicknesses, printing and saving functions in multiple graphic formats, blank pages for note-taking and thumbnail browser and control of annotated images.
ShareWizard Pen Conference
ShareWizard Pen Conference provides the tools to share screen images and data among different locations, and to annotate collaboratively on those images, making it a great tool for remote conferencing. One click on the floating ShareWizard Conference toolbar starts a remote conference. The easy-to-use interface is similar to that of the ShareWizard Pen bundled in the StarBoard software suite.
ShareWizard Pen Conference features interactive data sharing. Once the remote conference is established, data can be shared with multiple remote locations. ShareWizard Conference is completely interactive. Any participant can freely make annotations on the shared data. All data with the annotations will be automatically saved at both the local and remote locations. Once saved, the files can be printed, e-mailed, or archived for later reference.
ShareWizard Conference offers multiple point connections without the need for additional hardware or software, in most environments. ShareWizard Pen Conference captures computer data as images, compresses and sends the images to the remote sites. Once the original images are transmitted, only new annotations are transferred between locations, streamlining and accelerating traffic on the network.
ShareWizard Show and ShareWizard Show Conference
ShareWizard Show and ShareWizard Show Conference are add-in programs for PowerPoint, which allows for interactive PowerPoint presentations and sharing data and annotations among sites.
One click on the add-in button in PowerPoint starts a conference. Joining a remote presentation is as easy as clicking on a pre-defined button with connection information for the desired remote site. In addition to the standard features in Slideshow, ShareWizard Show Conference makes it possible for all conference participants to move between the pages, control predefined animation and make annotations on any PowerPoint presentation.
ShareWizard Show Conference offers multiple point connections without requiring additional software or hardware in most environments.
ShareWizard Show Conference provides users with a real-time response and transmits the presentation data to all sites automatically, eliminating the heavy traffic and slow response of AP sharing.
Handwriting Recognition
The newly upgraded handwriting recognition allows users to enter information directly into computer applications by writing directly on the screen. Handwriting automatically converts into usable computer text and can be used in any application that accepts ASCII text characters. The program recognizes multiple international character sets and can be trained to recognize the distinct writing style of multiple users.
On screen Keyboard
The on-screen keyboard has been upgraded to a fully-functional keyboard which allows users to enter data and use function keys directly from the screen.
MultiMedia Notepad
MultiMedia Notepad is a full-featured brainstorming program which makes an excellent electronic flipchart. The program allows users to save images and multimedia files on tabbed pages for easy selection and includes an enhanced set of drawing, annotation and presentation tools, and easy-to-use flowcharting and connecting tools.
Video Pen
Video Pen allows users to control and annotate over video media files, and contains Play, Forward, Reverse and Still Frame controls. Presenters can annotate over still frames with a special set of drawing tools. Annotated video frames can be saved in a variety of image file formats.
DryErase Screen
Available for StarBoard interactive whiteboards, DryErase Screen can be used to capture and save meeting and classroom notes. By connecting the StarBoard interactive whiteboard to a computer and using the Dual-Mode Pen and Electronic Eraser, dry-erase notes can be saved as an image file, and then be printed or emailed.
