Look at these Survey Results (inside)

As you may know, with the "Death of Internet Marketing" report, I did a survey and received thousands of responses back from marketers currently online.

What was interesting to me was this survey question.

59.06% of people surveyed have been online for less than year -

And OVER 4 out of every 10 are new to online marketing within just the last 6 months.

This means that people are coming in at a very rapid pace.

Also, of all the people surveyed, here is some more data collected.

I can barley surf the web: 4.15%

So over 50% of the marketers see themselves as a newbie or state that they are having trouble.

As I talk with Joe, my new apprentice in office, many things have occurred to me in the last 6 weeks since he started with me.

When I say things like "SEO, Squeeze Page, Header Graphic, Click Thru Rate, Domain Name" etc..

... He is always like, "Mike, slow down. Go back please and explain to me what you mean when you say xyz."

In fact, just yesterday, I told him to create and account in a discussion forum. When he got there, he was not even sure how to click on a post in the forum.

This information, complied with the results of the recent survey, shed light on something that was very revealing to me.

So many times, marketers... myself included, create great information products for marketers.

What is interesting to note, is while this information is very good... It does no good if you have not been able to at least master the basics yet.

Don't you agree?

And also, I think it just creates too much fluff if everyone of these products is written for a complete newbie.

We hope the newbie has mastered "some" of the basics to take advantage of the advanced strategies included in these step by step course.

In fact, one of the hottest products in clickbank right now was written like this. This product, "Project x" had ZERO fluff.

And half the people loved that.

The problem was, Chris the owner, had small issues with the other half. Maybe you? The newbie.

Know what?

2 Months ago I would have been like, "Come On. really, you need to do that for some people?"

But after listening to Joe, and reading the survey, it has become clear to me.

No- Strong Advise!

You see, I get told all the time, and I see it on forums,

"..there should be a place for Newbie's to start. You guys all assume we know this already. You were once a newbie too."

Got List?

Hey Guys,

I wanted to share a story with you about one of my protege's who has been making great progress in the short period of time that I've known him.

As his personal coach and mentor, I'm very proud of what he's accomplished.

I first met Brian Edmondson at a seminar in December of 2005, right before the launch of Butterfly Marketing.

New Free RSS Tool

Earlier today my friend in Australia, Quentin Brown, released a new RSS Fetch software for free download.

Most people on the Internet have heard of RSS and understand that it is something they are supposed to know about but don't have any clue where to start. RSS and feed technology can help you automate your web-surfing, deliver your newsletters and training, monitor your industry and publish it in a spam-free, virus-proof channel.

RSS is a format for delivering and receiving syndicated information and content from any site that is providing the service, including major news sites like Wired, news-oriented community sites like Slashdot, podcasts, personal weblogs and even plain old websites. Basically it is a simple text file (RSS or XML extension) that acts similar to a webpage and is updated either automatically by server enabled software or can be updated manually.

Good Friend, Great Book!

I have to confess. Sometimes I am guilty of marketing like
some politicians. You know, the ones that make policy based
on the latest poles.

But I had to look in the mirror and realize, if I am afraid to
touch on a subject outside the "norm" and offend a very
