About Mike Filsaime
I was born and raised on Long Island, New York, which I love because of its four distinct seasons.
I especially like Long Island for its beaches. In the summers, I love to drive out to the Hamptons and Montauk Point. Since I live about an hour away from NYC, I can shoot the other way (west) and see a Broadway play in Manhattan. I like to golf, play racquetball, and Foosball. Recently I got hooked on a few XBOX 360 games like RockBand and Call of Duty Modern Warfare I and II.
I am married with 4 cats: Woody, Frankie, Blackie and Marty. Those cats are all the kids I need right now. I also have 2 cats at the office, KittyDotCom (Kenny) and Bloggy.

My early years were spent at Pathmark Supermarkets where I was in the frozen foods department. I also had a few other jobs while I attended New York Institute of Technology.
My full-time profession was in the automotive field. For over 14 years I was in the retail end of the business. I had managed some of the largest auto dealers in the USA. I loved working in the “car business” and it was tough to leave when things started to take off online.
Turning Point: August 5th, 2004
This was the day I left my full-time job at the auto dealer. I am now pursuing online marketing full-time, as I have achieved greater wealth online than I ever dreamed possible. Online marketing has made me a millionaire in just 3 short years.
My business had now grown from a spare bedroom to a 2nd new office and a staff of 36 people that help me run our 50 + sites.
To me, the most important thing now is quality of life. A nice income makes it easier to have, but if you leave no time to enjoy it, you could be worse off than when you started.
I have learned a lot about marketing and sales experience in the automotive field. I handled many of the advertising for my dealership. And, in the past, I was the head sales trainer for a 13 store auto group. I have taken many courses on sales, negotiating, and phone selling skills.
I have been able to apply many of the sales and marketing tactics I learned over the last 14 years and implement them into my Internet marketing. My online success has come very quickly.
